This pattern was designed by Doug Swisher for use in the Bitterroot River in Montana. The Madam X quickly became a classic dry fly attractor pattern. With the added parachute, it floats like a cork and is easy to see. The PMX is a wonderful searching pattern for Hoppers, Salmonflies and Stoneflies.
